Last stop before home. Managed to book a quite boring hotel far from the city first, but relocated to a better one. Also visited hamam. :)

Last stop before Istanbul and Europe. Spent a day walking around and hours in a sport shop Decathlon, originally just to buy a new pair of travel shoes but now have a pile of everything. Even two fishing lures from a fishing shop. :)

In the morning it's early wakeup to the airport and a long daytime flight.

Mmmh, more sushi. Stopped by CentralwOrld shopping mall, dropped our bags to a storage and did some shopping and sushi eating. Now to the airport and Singapore.

Snif, left the island. Could have stayed an another month. :)

Now at Chumphon railway station, waiting for our night train to Bangkok and then flying to Singapore.

Still Tao..

Maybe the last dives done, unless we fit on tomorrow's morning boat. Unfortunately time to leave the island is approaching, it has been too short visit again. :)

On Saturday we will have afternoon boat to Chumphon, a night train to Bangkok and a Gulf Air flight to Singapore for a couple of days.

First week spent on Tao, or the working days at least. Mostly working, not much else..

From Bangkok we took a night train towards Chumphon and Koh Tao. The train ride was actually rather pleasant and we slept most of the way, although it was horribly cold in the train. For some reason the locals like to keep air conditioning at maximum...

The train arrived to Chumphon almost two hours late, but with some luck we still managed to arrive to harbour at 07:01 for the ferry scheduled to depart at 07:00 and it was actually waiting for us remaining passengers. Two hours more and we arrived to our favourite winter escape island, Koh Tao. :)

Obtained a motorbike, checked into our cheap (but rather nice) guesthouse and so on. Also finally had a proper breakfast with proper coffee and a cold banana milkshake. :)

Arrived to Bangkok and spent some hours in the city, mostly for visiting a Japanese-style convoyer belt sushi restaurant.

Unfortunately carrying the heavy luggage around until we managed to leave it in the city in a shopping center luggage storage. Bangkok new railway station has just been taken into use, and it's still a horrendous mess with exactly one small luggage storage machine for all the passengers..
