As it was Saturday night there was a lot of people out in the city. Me and Mia also decided to cruise around the city a bit and take a few photos, mostly because it's just fun to drive with our cool new car. :)

Some results below, nothing special though. Tomorrow we should start to plan what we are actually going to do during the upcoming week.

The flight was relatively uneventful, I watched The Hobbit on the in-flight entertainment system and shortly after the movie ended we landed to Reykjavik. Reykjavik weather today was pretty much what we expected it to be, sunny but cold compared to Finland.

With our rental car we obviously got lucky. The reservation confirmation said the car would be Dacia Duster, but obviously we got a free upgrade to way better Chevrolet Captive. The car is way bigger than the Duster would have been and has 183 horsepower diesel engine with automatic transmission and all the modern toys. Also, the car was brand new with only 40 kilometers on the meter. :)

This time we are staying a bit outside downtown Reykjavik in a small, comfortable house. The apartment owner seemed to be a nice lady, who had bought us some food supplies and drawn a map of important places in the neighborhood. Not too bad. :)

And so it begins, after a couple of summer cottage days. Me, Mia and Bror are sitting in an Icelandair Boeing 757, which should shortly take off and fly us directly to Reykjavik. We will arrive Reykjavik before 16 local time, so we still have well enough time to do things today. :)
