Ugh.. We look and feel like zombies after four hours of sleep. At the airport now, trying to wake up with the most expensive Starbucks coffee ever and waiting for the flight. 08:25 hours on an Airbus 340 coming next..

Well, I guess any trip has to be started with some kind of incident. So did this one, and luckily it had a good end result. We took a train from the airport to our host's home, and there was some confusion if we should jump out on a particular train stop or not. I was also dead tired, and the confusion and tiredness together had consequences: i left my camera on the tram seat and only realized it 30 seconds after the tram had departed the stop. Well too late to run after it. After cursing for a while we started walking towards Alberto's home, thinking what to do about the camera and trying to find contact information of the train company. While we walked, another tram going opposite direction on the same line passed us. I realized that it would be a chance to do something and ran after the train. The girls just said later on they did not believe me being able to be so fast.. I catched the tram on the next stop and asked the driver if she has a way to contact the other tram. She called them and 15 minutes later I had my beloved camera back in my hands. The only problem was that I was now at the final stop of the tram line, far from the destination and the last train would depart in four minutes from the station a couple of blocks away. Guess did I start walking wrong direction and missed the train? :) Well, taxi helped, although with Swiss prices it cost me some 30 euros. Small price for recovering the camera though, and now we are happily at Alberto's place, shower taken.

Damn, why do the German countries have the fixation to place at least one Bahnhofstrasse in every small village? Guess was I at the correct address of our host, but in the wrong city. Well, the correct one was not that far and taking a walk in Zurich downtown was nice anyway. Rolex shops after Rolex shops. I decided to go and meet the girls at the airport, as it was almost their landing time already. Now waiting here with my drawn walrus sign and some (damn expensive) Swiss chocolate. :)

The uneventful rlight landed to Zurich almost on time, and the flight time was productively used by reading the relavant chapters of Lonely Planet India. The girls will be landing a couple of hours after me, so I just took a train to the city, wandering around the countless Swiss watch shops and the city streets. The city is beautiful, reminding me a lot of many German cities. Cheap this place for sure is not. Some example prices from McDonalds: BigMac 6.5€, cheeseburger 2.5€ and a coke 3.9€. Basically many prices seem to be doubled compared to Finland, which is not exactly a cheap country either. At least we got a Couchsurfing host here, so we could skip the 100€ minimum hotel prices. Actually I guess I could start wandering towards his place, as he promised to be home around this hour..

The check-in process was not the smoothest one either, after the Indian airline canceling and reissuing tickets. The self-service check in did not even try to work, and the check-in agent had to spend a moment finding my tickets too. Well, they were found and I'm now boarding the Swiss A320, which arrived and will depart a bit late of schedule,

It's time for another journey, this time to India. We booked the tickets already almost a year ago, as Swiss Airlines happened to sell them at extremely cheap error fare. After some troubles with the Indian domestic airline canceling flights we finally got our tickets sorted out and are now on the way. No hairy monkeys this time, just me, Iryna and Lyudmyla. Today I shall be flying to Zurich and meeting the girls there, and tomorrow morning we continue to Raipur, India via Mumbai.
