Subject: Post: Meh. This trip did not start so well. I was supposed to take a bus to Helsinki airport, and the bus has been passing a bus stop next to my home for as long as I remember. Obviously not anymore. I walked to the bus stop well before the scheduled time and waited for the bus to arrive. And waited. And waited. Fifteen minutes past the supposed departure time I checked the website of the bus company and noticed they had changed the route, and there would be no way I could catch the bus.It was the last possible bus to reach the airport on time, my car keys were at home and home keys at mom, so.. There was basically not much options left. I could skip the flight, skip Kiev and fly directly to Amsterdam tomorrow, hoping there would be available seats for decent price on some airline. The other option was to hop on a taxi, surprise the driver with "Helsinki airport. As fast as you are willing to do, please." and pay the high price of some 260eur for this mistake of not taking an earlier bus. I selected that option and made it on time to the airport, luckily. I guess next time I will take a bit earlier bus, and hopefully this was the only thing going wrong on this trip.As a funny side note, I departed home with the car keys in my pocket, noticed them on the elevator and returned back to drop them home through mailbox as I wouldn't need them. Wish I didn't do that.. Could have driven to the airport and left the car there, for considerably cheaper price. The unlucky taxi driver had also planned he has time to do one short ride before finishing his work day and then he could pick up his kid from school. Well, his wife picked up the kid.. :)The rest of the evening went fine. I arrived to Kiev, we picked up some seafood to eat from a strange Norwegian seafood shop (they grill the fish for you, and have huge selection of seafood) and in the morning I headed back to the airport. Now waiting for departure towards Amsterdam where I will meet Timo. Latitude: Longitude: Security Code:
